Collection: Dog

Canidae is a biological family of dog-like carnivores, scientifically derived from the Latin word 'canis,' meaning 'dog.' This family comprises three subfamilies: Caninae, which includes domestic dogs, wolves, coyotes, foxes, jackals, and various extinct species; as well as the now-extinct Borophaginae and Hesperocyoninae subfamilies.

Canids are found on all continents, except Antarctica, either arriving independently or alongside humans over long periods.
